JACK ATTACK & OTHER FUN GAMES

There are a number of fast, fun games that make bowling a lot more interesting. One of those if called Jack Attack which is lawn bowls’ version of cricket’s T20. Talk to the Woodend Bowling Club about the options available.

  • ​There are three bowlers per team
  • They play a maximum of five ends per set
  • There are two sets played, with an instant tie-break if there is one set each    
  • Each bowler has three bowls each, with the first two bowlers in turn

  • ​The jack is placed wherever the team wants to from the mat
  • All players remain at the mat end to ensure the social atmosphere is maintained
  • The skippers then bowl the final three bowls

  • ​Closest bowl scores one point and additional closest bowls from the same team score additional points
  • Each team gets to have one power-play per set, where the score is doubled if you win that end
  • Jack in the ditch or out-of-bounds is re-spotted to the ‘T’
